We all Know Hokas Are The Best Long Distance Running Shoes on the Planet…

…Karl Meltzer ran 100 miles at an 8:34-ish pace in Hokas and we see anywhere from 30-60% of most ultrarunners starting their races in Hokas. However, the question I get most often is, “Can they go fast?”

Here are a few recent race results from various athletes (some need to remain unnamed since they are sponsored by other shoe companies):

Jason Schlarb (Hoka Athlete): 50 Miles in 6:44 = 8:04 pace in the Rapa Nui

Jake Reed (Hoka Fan): 13.1 Miles in 1:13 = 5:34 pace in the Kailua

Unnamed: 26.2 miles in 2:20 = 5:20 pace in the Stinson Tarmac

Nate Beach (Hoka Tech Rep): 5K in 15:18 = 4:56 pace in the Bond B

Unnamed: 5K in 14:57 =  4:49 pace in the Bondi B
